* Security is a major issue in today's agriculture sector because the consumer wants to be confident that they are getting a safe, quality product.
* Surveillance systems are also widely used to evaluate employee performance
and to ensure that protocols are being followed correctly.
* The systems we install are high quality, digital video recording systems
that uses a computer to store data at 30 frames per second.
* Each systems is custom tailored to each farm's particular needs.

Below are more details that will further explain the features and benefits of our DVR systems.

Locations to consider for farm cameras are:
Milk House
- Monitor tanks for sabotage and to ensure that milk samples are being taken correctly. Depending on the situation a second camera may be used to monitor the wash area.
Water Supplies - Secure high problematic areas.
Parlor - (usually takes 2 cameras) - Is procedure being followed correctly by all shifts? Parallel parlors will place a camera at each end looking in toward the center and herringbone parlors will place one at the entrance and one in the center looking toward the back).
Holding Pen
- Usually putting the camera off to one side will give a better view of the entire pen. (many times a wide angle lens may be needed)

Break Room & Time Clock -
Prevent "double-punching" on the time clock and abuse of paid breaks.
Driveways -
Know who is coming and going when you aren't there.
Calving Pens -
We've seen instances of calves being stolen from these pens at night.
Also, are these animals being checked when they are supposed to be?
Feed Lanes -
Monitor feed push up times. How long were they out of feed?
Barn Entrances -
Be sure no unauthorized people are coming into restricted areas. (bio security)
Shops - Find out why your tools are disappearing.
Lagoons - Safety. Be sure nobody opens a valve and causes a disaster!
Gates - Who left the gate open and let the cows out?
Fuel Tanks - Who is getting fuel that should be?

GeoVision's GV-Series is a PC based, multi-channel video surveillance system with over 150,000 customers worldwide.
GeoVision  utilizes MPEG-4 or JPEG software video compression technology to bring you high picture quality and video performance. Up to 16 cameras can be connected and viewed live on a local monitor screen or through TCP/IP network. Video can be recorded based on specifiable schedules or motion detection. You can store video clips in HDD or any optical storage device by using GeoVision Backup System.

Typical farm based systems are built to retain 2-4 weeks of recorded data. Because the system will automatically erase the oldest data, no file maintenance is required.

Remote Playback and Monitoring
The GeoVision's GV-Series is a true network surveillance system. We offer a wide range of solutions for remote playback and monitoring. Captured images or videos can be easily distributed to any remote locations through a LAN/WAN environment or Internet connection.

Smart Recording Technology
GeoVision's Smart Recording Technology, will automatically distribute frame rates to the camera that needs it most based on alarm or motion detection allowing for a more efficient way to utilize your resources.

Built-in Motion Detection
Motion detection can be configured individually for each camera. Sensitivity and masking areas can be adjusted separately according to the environmental condition thus providing reliable and accurate motion detection.

Embedded PTZ Palette
PTZ-capable cameras can be controlled directly from the GV surveillance system or any GV remote view workstation. Intuitive control of movement is available via the embedded control panel on the video display window.

Digital Watermark
The digital watermark will check whether the image is originally captured from the GV system or not. If the captured image has been alter or modified in any way the software will indicate that the image has been damaged and it will no longer be used as a legitimate evidence.

Audio Recording
With the addition of audio recording, you are now able to record and playback both audio and video at the same time which gives you a more precise picture of the captured event.

Typical cameras used in farm applications are one of the 2 on the left.

The top is a 40' IR (infra red) camera with 420 TVL (total video lines of resolution) in a weather proof housing (great for milking parlors).

The bottom is an 80' in IR camera with 480 TVL in a weather proof housing (great for barns).

Both cameras are DC power with auto iris.
