We first developed KISS in 1999 out of a need for a simple crop record keeping system.  The goal was to develop a system that was easy to use, modify and manipulate. 

The premise of Keep It Simple Stupid was the basic idea.

Since it's inception, KISS has become an extensive crop management and record keeping system.  KISS will do everything except GPS. 

If you take the time to input all the data correctly, KISS will give you an Income Over Cost for each crop and each field SPECIFICALLY!

Based in Microsoft Excel, KISS is easy to use and understand.  The system employs 32 individual tabs that are pertain to a specific to task. Whether you are setting up a crop rotation, applying manure, planting or harvesting, there is a specific page for each task.

Pull out menus guide the user through entering data on each specific page. 

The page is split and locked so that the top of the screen remains constant, giving you a summary of that page's data as you scroll down through your fields.

A filter bar at the top of the page allows the user to select a specific set of data to summarize.  Above the filter bar is a summary of the filtered fields as well as a summary of all fields.

One of the tabs contains all the forms needed to keep records for inputting data into KISS.

There are graphs that hep give a visual for specific information.

While K.I.S.S. may have gone beyond the Keep It Simple Stupid basis, it has developed into an extremely useful too to help today's farmer make wise management decisions related to his cropping enterprise.
